When we read that Jesus washed the feet of the disciples it’s easy to overlook an amazing act of forgiveness that took place. Most people will read that about event and think it’s about humbling ourselves as servants for others, and it is. But, it’s also about forgiveness. One of the 12 was Judas Iscariot. Jesus knew Judas would betray Him and would serve Him up to death. Jesus still showed Judas love and washed his feet.
Jesus taught us that we are to love and to forgive at all costs, no matter what a person does to us. There is no place in heaven for resentment or anger.
